RP MEME: MEDIEVAL TIMES

Pick a scenario, post with your character and roll for the scene. Or just pick. That's cool too.

For the setting:

1) CASTLE. Throne rooms, private chambers, long hallways.
2) TAVERN. Rough-hewn tables, rough-hewn clientele.
3) DUNGEONS. Iron bars, rusty chains, and terrible food.
4) JOUST. The knights of the realm are battling.
5) FIELDS. It's a hard, long day working to grow food.
6) MARKET. There's a well, there are some craftsmen selling things. It's a medieval mall.

And once you've decided the setting, decide your role:

1) ROYALTY. You are a King, Queen, Prince, Princess or close relative.
2) KNIGHT. You are a warrior of the realm.
3) WITCH/WIZARD. Official court magician? Crazy old lady with a lot of herbs? You decide.
4) PEASANT. Yeah, your life sucks.
5) CRAFTSMAN. Blacksmith, woodworker. Apprentice or master is up to you.
6) SERVANT. Your life is utterly devoted to the one you serve.
BONUS: 7) TIME TRAVELER. ???

I didn't want you to begin with, brat. I've no reason to make it easy for you.

[Even if he has to grudging respect the boy's persistence--and magical ability. It's the only thing it could be.]

As you've made abundantly clear.

[ So... why hasn't he left yet? ]

Then stop complaining and bring the remainder of the food here.

[ He places it by Lance's side. What, was his master actually counting on Sefton returning today? ]

Where do we go after this, Sir?

Elsewhere.

[Without looking over he reaches out for the food. He's oddly tolerant at the moment, although that could be the result of leaving the pit of human wallowing and being in the mountains again.]

[polarization]

Elsewhere soon, or... elsewhere, I can...? [ Get some of his things out? ]

That is up to you.

[He intends to move on soon, but the lad can take as long as he wants.]

[ He'll take that as 'soon', then. The further Lance gets and the more often he has to track the knight down, the more it wears on the teenager. He doesn't complain, though he does sigh. ]

... Of course.

[Lance chooses to ignore the kid's irritation in favour of enjoying the breeze, the food and the view. And, just because he's a dick, he winds up staying there and waiting, on the rock, enjoying himself, even after he's done. Can't have the brat getting expectations, after all.]

[polarization]

[ Frustrating as it is, Sefton uses the time to doze. He tries to keep at least slightly aware in case Lance gets up and tries to leave without him, but the period of inactivity is... nice. No matter the fact that his life has now become a game of catch-up with a man who wants absolutely nothing to do with him and no one else will take him in. ]

[Naturally, as soon Lance thinks the teen is as deep as he's going to get, the redhead finally stirs, stretches, and stands from the rock, heading up the slope and around a boulder without even turning to look at Sefton or even a nary of a disturbed pebble.]

[ There's a shift of air, the feeling of absence near to him. He almost doesn't notice it, except his shoulder becomes cooler for it and he blinks open his eyes to see Lance nearly out of visual range.

With a frustrated grunt, he stands and grabs the bag in one motion and hurries after the man. ]

[Obviously the teen wasn't nearly as asleep as he'd seemed. He was quick, in more ways than one. Lance still hasn't decided if that's good or not, or if he ought to do away with the boy.

[He doesn't look around when he hears the footsteps. He just frowns slightly and keeps moving, perhaps just with a slightly faster step.]

[ Gnngh. Thanks, sir. ]

Are we heading to a town next, or...? Sir.

Yes.

[They just have a few stops to make first, so the actual movement toward the next town may take a few days. And then another few days to get there.]
