RP MEME: MEDIEVAL TIMES

Pick a scenario, post with your character and roll for the scene. Or just pick. That's cool too.

For the setting:

1) CASTLE. Throne rooms, private chambers, long hallways.
2) TAVERN. Rough-hewn tables, rough-hewn clientele.
3) DUNGEONS. Iron bars, rusty chains, and terrible food.
4) JOUST. The knights of the realm are battling.
5) FIELDS. It's a hard, long day working to grow food.
6) MARKET. There's a well, there are some craftsmen selling things. It's a medieval mall.

And once you've decided the setting, decide your role:

1) ROYALTY. You are a King, Queen, Prince, Princess or close relative.
2) KNIGHT. You are a warrior of the realm.
3) WITCH/WIZARD. Official court magician? Crazy old lady with a lot of herbs? You decide.
4) PEASANT. Yeah, your life sucks.
5) CRAFTSMAN. Blacksmith, woodworker. Apprentice or master is up to you.
6) SERVANT. Your life is utterly devoted to the one you serve.
BONUS: 7) TIME TRAVELER. ???

[Anna chuckled and gently pushed her hair back to keep it out of the way for him.]

As a matter of fact, you do.

[ He crouches and gently rubs in the concoction. Which actually smells quite nice -- minty. ]

[She appreciated the coolness as the dull ache slowly faded and closed her eyes with a hum of relaxation.]

But I should point out that I have several unseated rivals whose bruises and broken bones prove you wrong.

You can defend yourself. I'm not so sure you can take care of yourself.

[ He touches her hand, lets her release her hair so it falls back into place. ]

[She let her hair fall and blew a strand out of her face before looking up at him with a curious expression.]

And aren't those the same things, Charles?

Jousting isn't all you need to survive.

[ He sits back on his heels. ]

I assume you trounced him.

[annael]

Well, that's what I keep you around for I suppose. [She laughs and her eyes glint as he brings up her opponent.]

Directly. The idiot tries to bind up in all that armor, but he ends up making himself so heavy that his balance could be tipped by a feather.

But-- if he keeps hitting me in the helmet I'll have to consider cutting it off. [She tugs on a loose strand.]

I like it the way it is.

[ He smiles. ]

Anyhow, that's good news. I bet on you.

[ He moves to his feet. ]

Glad to see one of us is making money.

Just a few more matches and I'll be set...

[Anna moved to stand and quite promptly found herself sitting right back down. Her legs were not having the weight anymore, no sir.]

Damn it. [She sighed and reached back to start undoing the leather ties of her armor, only managing to make the knots tighter in her frustration.] Do you mind? I need to get out of this-- blasted hunk of metal for a bit before the next go.
