RP MEME: MEDIEVAL TIMES

Pick a scenario, post with your character and roll for the scene. Or just pick. That's cool too.

For the setting:

1) CASTLE. Throne rooms, private chambers, long hallways.
2) TAVERN. Rough-hewn tables, rough-hewn clientele.
3) DUNGEONS. Iron bars, rusty chains, and terrible food.
4) JOUST. The knights of the realm are battling.
5) FIELDS. It's a hard, long day working to grow food.
6) MARKET. There's a well, there are some craftsmen selling things. It's a medieval mall.

And once you've decided the setting, decide your role:

1) ROYALTY. You are a King, Queen, Prince, Princess or close relative.
2) KNIGHT. You are a warrior of the realm.
3) WITCH/WIZARD. Official court magician? Crazy old lady with a lot of herbs? You decide.
4) PEASANT. Yeah, your life sucks.
5) CRAFTSMAN. Blacksmith, woodworker. Apprentice or master is up to you.
6) SERVANT. Your life is utterly devoted to the one you serve.
BONUS: 7) TIME TRAVELER. ???

Could have been worse? Definitely could have gone better, but I'm... trying to stay optimistic. [She smiles a bit, leaning her head back into the cushion of the chair.] Although I admit, I'm considering trying to find an excuse to stay in tomorrow. Maybe telling the new recruits I'm in danger of losing a limb. My arm, maybe. Do you think they'd go for that??

I think the King would only believe you if you did lose the arm.

[ She brushes back Raven's hair, from her temple, frowning at a gash there. ] Try to avoid head wounds.

Do it then. Cut it off, right at the elbow. I trust you won't let me bleed to death in my own chambers, and that you'll be quick about it. [She shuts her eyes, her smile turning into a small wince, because it was really strange how sore muscles can make you forget about a blow to the head from earlier on.]

It was my fault, I knew he'd come from overhead after my last block, but I wasn't quick enough. Had to dodge instead of parry, which clearly didn't work so well.

Milady would have to fetch the necessary sword, as servants aren't permitted such things. [ Her tone is dry. She dabs off the blood, where it's caked in Raven's hair. ]

Well. You'll get him next time.

[She pouts.] But my swords are outside. Tomorrow, then. Tomorrow you'll cut off my arm for me, yes? [Raven isn't very good at sitting still, but she knows better than to wiggle around when her wounds are being tended to.] And please just call me Raven, you know the L word makes me feel queasy.

[personal profile] mactaggd 2011-07-28 07:56 am (UTC)(link)
Seems to be the only thing that does make you queasy. [ It's a little bit of a tease. Moira also has an extremely strong stomach. She's been through battlefields.

A beat. ]

Raven.

Mm? [She's starting to doze, don't mind her.]

Oh, or were you just testing the name out? Kinda nice, isn't it? It's the 'vuh', I think.

Ravens mean battle, you know. In the old ways. The goddess of battle herself was heralded by a flock of ravens.

Well, that's what I'm missing then. Ravens. No man would bother putting up a fight, they would be too intimidated.
