Things That Are Awesome

1) That man. Is going to be our President. And I will be proud as fuck to be a part of this country.

Yes, we can.

2) [livejournal.com profile] airspaniel and I. And another round robin story of ultimate destiny. Yeah.

Just because he got the democratic vote doesn't mean he'll win the election. I don't think he'll get the presidential vote.

I think that what he believes in and what he preaches is enough to make it all the way. I believe that he would make an amazing president, and that he represents a kind of politics that is new, and going to dominate political discourse for a long time. Barack Obama caught up with the information age, and he's the first person ever to have the information age vote.

And please tell me who this is or comment as an actual LiveJournal. Thanks.

I was not the original commenter, but I mostly agree with her or him.

Why? Because this is the same country that elected George W. Bush in 2004 and we are in a time of economic crisis and many nervous, scared people will see the Republican candidate as the safe choice. Hell yeah, I think there's a good chance that McCain will win. I hope he won't, but I absolutely acknowledge that he might.

I think that might be the very reason a Democratic candidate has a big chance of winning. Democrats utterly pwned in the election of 2006, with a huge, huge turnout for a midterm election. And so many people blame this economic crisis on the current president and his fiscal policy.

Sure, there's a possibility that McCain will win. But if I had to put my money on someone right now, it would be Obama.

Hell yeah he is. And hell yeah we are!

YOU KNOW IT.

So, I'm feeling some better now. After a nap, I might try working on that thing that makes us so awesome.

I can't believe it's actually happening...I am so. there. at the inauguration. My mom is a huge Hillary supporter, though, so I'm bummed that I can't share my utter joy at this outcome with her.

And, Icon love. Edmund was all sorts of snarky fun in Prince Caspain.

[identity profile] cerebel.livejournal.com 2008-06-04 10:22 pm (UTC)(link)
I know. And lol, my mom is a huge Hillary fan too. From way back when - she has an old button that says "I voted for Hillary's husband" from the...1994? election.

XD Edmund was *so* awesome in Prince Caspian. For serious.
