Sep. 12th, 2008 10:36 pmFor thousands of years, the parallel worlds of Earth and Rowan have existed in an unsteady harmony. Travel between them was restricted to a single gate, closed by the Guardians, who were charged with the task of keeping the two worlds separate. But in the year 2008, the Gate Guardians disappeared. For the first time in living memory, the mythical creatures long believed extinct by humankind can journey to the world of Earth today - by the same token, humans from our own world may find themselves in an adventure beyond anything they ever dreamed possible.
What will you find on the other side?

Grab your attention yet? This is the Rowan Tree, an original (as opposed to fandom) forum-based RPG. Which I am running.
This is actually kind of an experiment. Me and my good roleplaying friend are trying out something new - the game will be run by the two of us as Narrators. As in, each player can play their characters, but we control the world around them. This means that we'll be able to give the players a much more in-depth world experience than if this were simply a player-based RPG.
We're looking for character applications now, and will be for the next few weeks. Guys, I know everyone on this flist is awesome, and I'd love to have any of you participate.
Anyone interested? Check it out.
