Rowan Tree: About the Game

The first thing you notice is the tree. You know it doesn't belong in your world. It's too old, too twisted, too strange -- and, more than that, no one else can see it. You might be frightened, or curious; you might get up close, or try to get away. It doesn't matter. Regardless of what you do, who you are, or how you react, the tree sucks you in. The next moment, you've landed, in soft grass and softer earth. You're naked, your clothes and possessions taken from you. But before you can panic, a cloak is draped around your shoulders, and a kind voice tells you that you are in Rowan. The voice belongs to an Elf, an ethereally beautiful creature, flanked by several more of the same kind. They explain to you, with regret, that you've been pulled through a Gate, from your home, and that they have no way to send you home. After assuring you that they're doing their best to reverse the Gate's path of transit, they escort you to a room in a stark, abandoned city. All your comforts are provided for; the Elves will see to everything you need. But you can't go home ever again.

We do indeed have a plot planned out! Though we will change it, if parts of it don't look like they're going to work out.

The more I look around, the more I like it.

Okay, so I have an old RPG character from Star Wars, if I wanted to join with her (because she's already got back story and things like that, and I really, really miss working with her. She was flawed and beautiful and yeah...I like her. Wow, that was a grammatical mess, but I digress), should I just...private the entries she already has as like a new start at Rowan?

Well, we're community-based, not journal-based, so the entries she already has shouldn't be a problem at all. Just write the stuff you want her to have done before into her backstory.
