cerebel: (peter don't panic)
Eradicating evil was always on my to-do list ([personal profile] cerebel) wrote2008-09-22 11:37 pm

Petrelli? In MY DNA? More likely than you'd think!

Not too happy about Heroes. I think that Prison Break is a much better show this season (speaking of, I haven't seen Prison Break, torrent is running, plz don't spoil).

The only moment that really sparked with me was Elle tossing Bennet the gun. It felt really snappy, like Elle knew exactly what she was doing, exactly who she had to go to, and Bennet was ON IT.

I think ever since I've started rp'ing Bennet, I've started crushing on him. O.o

Anyhow, Maya ratting on about how the formula was evil, and then immediately jumping Mohinder's bones pissed me off. Mohinder having less common sense than Matt's tortoise friend also pissed me off. I mean, come on. BAD PLAN. BAD. PLAN.

Future!Peter was mostly mysterious and annoying. Nathan's transformation felt forced as all hell, and the talk of God and faith didn't chime with the tone of the show as well as it should have, and, for that matter, as well as it did in the first season Prison Break episodes I watched today.

Claire and Peter had chemistry in first season. Acting chemistry, I mean, the kind where two not-as-good actors create something better when they're playing off each other. Everything with them, in this episode, felt flat as a pancake.

Honestly, I'm just not impressed. It pisses me off that Prison Break is airing at the same time as Heroes. If I get a choice, I'm going with Prison Break.

I will just ship certain characters that the show may or may not give me, and be amused. Sylar? Always fun. Elle? I like a lot.

Mohinder=so very dumb. And if he thinks this is going to turn Sylar off? He is so wrong.

See, now? I apparently ship Elle/Bennet. O.o

I don't think Mohinder could turn Sylar off if he tried :P

:)

I think Mohinder wouldn't know what to do if he didn't know Sylar was around. Somewhere. And that they would be bound to meet up. It's rather comforting in a really twisted way. He does hold a special place with Sylar.

Yeah, this episode was not what I was anticipating. I do like that Angela is getting more authority because as evil as she may turn out to be I think she is spiffy. As for Peter, he is trying to play Hiro and doing a HORRIBLE job. Plus, I want to see more brother time. And Nathan seemed very out of character, not a character transition as I assume they intended. And I just started watching this a few weeks ago. :( (BTW When I decided to give in and watch it, I thought of your Heroes posts that I would randomly see and clog up my page.)

Oh and what is with Angela and Sylar? This show is turning into a giant Petrelli family reunion.

Thanks so much for spoiling me, sweetheart. I appreciated that so freakin' much. /sarcasm

Next time, make sure your subject line doesn't contain spoilers either.

Wait, seriously? *That* counts as a spoiler, and not as a general sarcastic comment on the state of Heroes as a whole? Come on. There wasn't a name attached, and I didn't even believe the show when it made that a plot point last night. I think you're being a little sensitive.

I had a pretty similar reaction to the plots, though I'm more in the neutral column on the show. My boyfriend had never seen it before, and he made the comment that they were trying too hard. When I asked what he meant, he said, "Well, they're all talking in this low...intense...near-murmur...and the music is all ominous. If there's tension, I ought to be able to feel it without the show banging me over the head with cues to try to convince me tension exists."

Eh. I think part of the problem is that even if Heroes is better than the average TV show, I am not judging it against other shows. I'm judging it against S1 of itself. I don't think that's unfair. And more and more, I'm starting to think S1 was a fluke. They had an amazing story to tell, and they told it. But I'm not sure they have more than one amazing story in them (at least with this show). I'm going to keep watching because I'm not actively annoyed, but so far, I'm not impressed.

BAD PLAN. BAD. PLAN.

No SHIT. Yeah, okay, Mohinder, you go right on ahead and inject yourself with that mysterious untested body-altering substance. It is your own damn fault when your SKIN STARTS MELTING OFF.

I was mainly confused and bewildered by the premiere. A lot. I hope the rest of the season gets its shit together.
