Ever since I partially unlocked my journal, I've gotten a bunch of friends (hi there, guys), but no comments or PMs about *why* the friending occurred. Needless to say, this is the teensiest bit creepy, especially when you add in the mix the number of anonymous comments I've been getting lately.

It's true, I'm not going to post anything openly that I'm not okay with anyone having access to. But I would like it if non-mutual friends would introduce themselves? I mean, for all I know, you might be really awesome silent people that I want to get to know.

So. Please say hi? And any anonymouses who are lurking around, say hi too?

I think I might qualify as a lurker. If I am, I'm an infrequent one, since my internets have been wonky lately. I was sorry to hear about your recent illness, and hope you are recovering! And that no air conditioning thing is positively evil. Is it just that they haven't turned it on yet, or that it never was installed, ever? I was shocked when I went to Cleveland as a teenager and my friend's parents didn't have AC. Down here in the southern part of Illinois, we can't live without it. People DIE in brick buildings in St. Louis every year 'cause they gots no AC and we are on the same latitude as that.

That no AC thing can't be helping your recovery from the plague, can it? Can you hang out at restaurants or something during the day, or nap on a couch in the student center? Or just kill someone in an administrataive position? No, nonononono - wait, that's not a good plan.
